Who We Are

What We Collect

For the waitlist, we collect your email address, optional first name, optional focus area, marketing consent, page path, referrer, campaign parameters, and basic technical details such as user agent.

In the app, UpWise may collect account details, age or date-of-birth information, country or region, career details, salary, savings, net worth, investments, pension, debt, health habits, fitness activity, and other inputs you choose to provide.

How We Use Data

We use waitlist data to manage launch updates, beta access, product research, and early access prioritisation.

In the app, data is used to calculate deterministic Life Rank and domain scores, show trajectories, support simulations, provide coaching explanations, manage subscriptions, improve reliability, and respond to privacy or support requests.

Legal Bases

We rely on consent for waitlist marketing emails, legitimate interests for basic site security and product improvement, contract where processing is needed to provide the app, and legal obligation where we must keep certain records.

AI, Scores, and Estimates

UpWise scoring is deterministic. AI is used to explain supplied outputs and coaching context; it does not create or change Life Rank scores. Benchmarks, forecasts, and coaching outputs are estimates, not certainties, and are not medical, financial, or career advice.

Processors and Services

We use service providers to operate UpWise, including Supabase for database and authentication, PostHog for analytics, RevenueCat for subscription management, OpenAI for AI-assisted explanations, Apple for iOS distribution and in-app purchase flows, and Cloudflare for website hosting and security.

Retention

We keep waitlist records until they are no longer needed for launch communication, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. App account data is kept while your account is active and then deleted or anonymised according to operational, legal, and security needs.

Your Rights

If UK GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. You can contact us at support@upwise-app.com.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.

Security

We design UpWise around secure data handling, access controls, and privacy-aware defaults. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to protect personal data proportionately to its sensitivity.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product, company setup, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
